Both these stallions are now gelded and out working. They are only available via frozen semen. Gleniph Sovanity is still owned by Tathren Stud and is enjoying working stock in the country. Tathren Strong Persuader is owned by Susan Low, and is competing in dressage and breed shows at national level. He is very successful Anglo Arabian gelding!. They had proved themselves as successful stallions and sires, and are now being great geldings.

We have chosen these unique individuals to be the cornerstones of our breeding program. They have been chosen on bloodlines, conformation, movement, soundness, and temperament. We aim to breed a correct and successful halter horse, a superb saddle horse and an individual that can also provide us with a safe and intelligent riding school horse in the future....and that can introduce future generations of riders to the versatility of the ARABIAN DERIVATIVE.

We aim to produce quality ambassadors for both our Stud and our Riding School.

Be wary of Stallion owners that do not use their OWN stallion over their OWN mares!...and merely stand a stallion for service fees. Do they doubt their own stallion's ability as a sire??

When choosing an "outside" stallion to cover our mares (usually a thoroughbred to expand our racing interests)....we always check that the stallion owner believes in his stallion enough to use him over his OWN mares. If this is not the case; we will not breed to that stallion. We also like the added bonus of viewing a sire's progeny as well. We always have youngstock at Tathren Stud for viewing.

TATHREN STRONG PERSUADER

AA Class Champion Anglo Colt

Colour: Liver Chestnut
Breed: Anglo Arabian (Crabbet Bred)
Sire: Maf Ue Enticer (purebred Arabian)
Dam: On the Table(T'Bred)

This superb stallion combines the best of both worlds, the powerful hindquarter, height and bone of the Thoroughbred coupled with the elegance, movement and temperment of the Crabbet Arabian.

Currently measured over 15.2 and will mature around 16 hands. We knew he was special when he won a hotly contested yearling Anglo Colt class at the 2005 National Arabian Stud Horse Show, but to go on and beat the winners of the 2yo and 3yo classes, and to be awarded CHAMPION ANGLO STALLION as a yearling, was a huge thrill for us.

If you love the beauty of the Purebred Arabian, especially the Crabbet bloodlines but feel they are too small, then this is the colt for you. He will be a wonderful performance sire for Thoroughbreds, Purebreds, Derivatives and Warmbloods.
